During your initial consultation we will listen to where you feel you have problem areas. We will explain the various treatment options which are available for you and plan which area or areas you would like treating. Our facial aesthetics service is split into two specialty areas, Botulinum Toxin A injections, commonly known as Botox, and Dermal filler injections. These two treatments are appropriate for different areas of the face; Botox is effective in the treatment of wrinkles in the forehead and eye areas, whilst dermal fillers are effective in the area between nose and mouth where lines appear as we get older. It is possible to have both Botox and dermal filler treatments in one extended session with Dr Lewis.
There are three main facial areas where Botox injections are effective; the forehead, between the eyes, and the 'crows feet' to the sides of the eyes. We can treat one area (the forehead cannot be treated alone), a combination of areas or all of the areas in just one thirty minute session. This is something we will have discussed with you at your initial consultation; you may have decided there and then or you may have gone away to reflect on your options. Whatever your choice is, we understand that it is your face and you ultimately decide and choose which areas are to be treated.
